

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order that became law in October 2006 requires “responsible persons” to comply with Part 2 of the Order: namely, provision of general fire precautions, provision of a fire risk assessment, emergency planning including fire prevention and mitigation strategies, fire procedural and managerial regimes, training, liaison, co-operation and co-ordination with all affected parties and maintenance of all of these issues.
